Public consultations on the draft document entitled „Municipal Accessibility Standard of the City of Zabrze”

We invite the residents of Zabrze to participate in public consultations regarding the draft document entitled „Municipal Accessibility Standard of the City of Zabrze”. It is a set of guidelines and suggested solutions, application of which should improve functioning of people with special needs and thus enable different social groups to use urban facilities and spaces as independently and fully as possible.

The recommendations were developed in accordance with the principles of universal designing and the assumptions of the Accessibility Plus program.

The document was developed by the employees of the Silesian University of Technology within the „City as Space for Development” project financed by the „Local Development” program co-financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2014-2021 and the State Budget.

The consultations will take place from February 15, 2024 to February 29, 2024.

Within the consultations Zabrze residents can express their opinions and comments on the draft document entitled „Municipal Accessibility Standard of the City of Zabrze”.

Opinions and comments can be provided:

1) via a shared survey in the public consultation module in the „Zabrze in the heart of Silesia” application;

2) by completing the consultation survey at the Customer Service Point of the City Hall in Zabrze at 5-7 Powstancow Slaskich St. during the public consultations period;

3) via e-mail by sending comments to the following address: sekretariat_wru@um.zabrze.pl.
