The 19th Science Day is already behind us!
Interactive stands, presentations of new technologies, chemical and physical experiments and a sports and automotive zone are just some of the attractions that participants of the 19th Science Day held on October 6 could expect.
The aim of this event is to popularize the activities of scientific-and-research, educational and training institutions as well as companies, clubs and associations not only from Zabrze, but from the entire region. The Science Day is intended to promote the most important scientific and technical achievements, especially among school students. It is also to arouse interests in an interactive, accessible and unconventional way. It is to encourage people to learn more about areas that may seem difficult, unknown, and sometimes seemingly uninteresting.
This year’s edition of the Science Day took place in the revitalized space around the water tower built in 1909. Designed in the expressionist style by architect August Kind and construction consultant Friedrich Loose, the hydrotechnical building has undergone a thorough reconstruction in recent years, thanks to which it now serves a completely new function. Residents will not only be able to see an interactive exhibition about coal in nature, but also enjoy the hospitality of a restaurant located 40 meters above the ground.
The honorary patronage of the event was provided by: Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia, Professor Zbigniew Religa Foundation of Cardiac Surgery Development and Decathlon Gliwice.
