Inauguration of the next edition of the Children and Youth Academy

Last Saturday, the Silesian Academy started the next edition of classes as part of the Children and Youth Academy. The Zbigniew Religa Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze hosted 100 students who started the new academic year at our academy in Zabrze. The special guest of the inauguration this time was Anna Morajko-Fornal, who gave a short lecture inaugurating the new adventure in which young students will take part.

As part of the classes conducted every Saturday, the Children and Youth Academy guarantees all participants: a great atmosphere, learning through play, creative workshops, preparation for the final exams, and during the holidays, actively spent time at a winter children’s and youth camp.

– An important aspect on which we place great emphasis as part of Norwegian financing is encouraging young people to learn and discover local potential – thanks to the Academy, we want to show that Zabrze is a place that can be seriously considered when choosing your life and professional path – comments the mayor of Zabrze, Małgorzata Mańka -Szulik.

The Children’s and Youth Academy began its activity in September 2022 as a project implemented by the City of Zabrze and the Academy of Silesia (formerly – the Academy of Technology in Katowice).

The project is co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, and participation in all classes is free of charge for participants.

The Norwegian funds obtained by the City of Zabrze will enable the development of key skills, and young people will see what opportunities they have to study and learn without having to leave the city.
