„Zaczynamy poTĘŻNIE” [„Powerful Start”] – i.e. the announcement of construction of the brine graduation tower in Maciejów
The brine graduation towers will soon appear in Kończyce and Maciejów as part of „The City as Space for Development” project funded out of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2014-2021, and Park Hutniczy [The Metallurgical Park] will be revitalised. On this occasion a picnic will be organised soon, i.e. on Saturday, the 17th September at 6 p.m. in the Orlik sports complex in Zabrze-Maciejów ( Kondratowicza Street) with guest star – the amazing Los Fuegos Theatre of Fire!
Los Fuegos is a group well known in Zabrze. They performed twice at the Flowers Festival in the City Botanical Garden impressing the audience with their acrobatic show, dance and spectacular juggling with living fire. The Theatre of Fire artists will present at the picnic a program entitled “The Tales of the Earth” featured by Andrzej Siek, a sculpturer who will create his works in front of the audience.
The event will include the presentation of the brine graduation towers values. The participants will also use the services of the consulting unit providing advice on co-funding of eco-investment projects (such as replacements of stoves or windows). The exhibition called „Less means More” has also been planned to be seen while enjoying anti-stress music in the background. Some attractions for families with children will also be available – circus show workshops and contests.
The undertaking is organised as part of the project entitled „The City as Space for Development” funded out of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years „ 2014-2021. The main targets of the project include, without limitation, the improvement of life quality in the city through better economic and social potential, the environment quality and the quality of urban spaces, the improvement of cohesion of actions and growth of the inhabitants trust to public institutions, creating standards of modern public services provision and improvement of the institutional capacities of the city administration.
The project will be performed until the 30th April, 2024.
The maximum total qualifiable costs covered by the project amount to: PLN 15 328 498,86.
Co-funding: EUR 3 371 346,00.
