The brine graduation towers contract signed!

Out of almost 2500 Polish municipalities the City of Zabrze was one of 29 local government units that effectively solicited Norwegian Fund grants. This is ca. 15 million zlotys, of which almost 1,5 million will be assigned for the construction of two brine graduation towers in the city.

In the historical room of Zabrze City Hall today, the contracts for the construction of the brine graduation towers were signed in two city districts, i.e. Kończyce and Maciejów. The total value of the investments is PLN 1 336 178,18. The task will be completed within 8 months maximum from the date of signing the contracts, i.e.  by the end of May, 2023.

– I think this is a particular moment. We have not performed such projects in our city yet. We have been working intensely to solicit grants out of the Norwegian Funds. I believe that our inhabitants would be able to enjoy the effect of our collaboration – said Małgorzata Mańka-Szulik, the City President.  – In Zabrze, in addition to the strategic investment projects, such as, without limitation, the extension to the Korfanty Avenue, erection of the interchange hubs or preparation and filling of the Special zone, we perform the tasks dedicated to recreation, so awaited by the population, like the said brine graduation towers or the water playgrounds under construction now. – the President added.

The press conference held today was attended, without limitation, by: Małgorzata Mańka-Szulik – the President of Zabrze, Mirosław Barcik – the Functional-Utility Program Designer, Marek Środa – the Owner of AQUARIUS ŚRODA & HOLISZ Sp. z o.o. from Międzyrzecze Górne and Antoni Duźniak – the Designer.

  • The brine graduation tower in Dorotki Street, located at DOK [District Cultural Centre] Kończyce, the projection of a regular hexagon inscribed in a circle of 11 m diameter.
  • The brine graduation tower in Kondratowicza Street, near Orlik the junior soccer playground in Maciejów, the projection of a regular octagon inscribed in a circle of 11 m diameter. The brine graduation towers and the blackthorn core are to be set on foundation slabs.

  • A pole with a PV panel and battery (basic power supply to the brine graduation tower) and auxiliary power supply system (connected to the existing internal system) – the whole in the form of a hybrid electrical system,
  • A proximity sensor integrated with the brine system – starting the system in presence of people in the brine graduation tower area and stopping it when no one uses it or during the night,
  • A twilight sensor and  a sleep timer integrated with the light system – starting the system after twilight and switching it off after usage hours,
  • A board with the brine graduation tower usage rules (typical system board of the nature and colours referring to the brine graduation tower roof).
