The ”Cycling Around” bike rally starts tomorrow
The brine graduation towers will appear in Kończyce and Maciejów soon and the Metallurgical Park will be revitalized soon as part of the “The City as Space for Development” project funded out of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2014-2021. Next Saturday, the 8th October, the „Cycling Around” bike rally will be organised to enable the participants a visit to the locations of the future investments.
The starting point will be in the Metallurgical Park at 10.00 to set off as bike parade towards the Orlik [Junior soccer ground] in Maciejów to be followed by a ride to the District Cultural Centre in Kończyce where the future investment projects will be presented – the brine graduation towers and the Metallurgical Park modernization plans. After the participants will have returned to the starting point they will be offered some refreshments, lots of contests for the youngest and those a bit older and a meeting with a dietician. The event is to start at 10.00 o’clock. The ride will take about 2 hours and the route length will be almost 20 km.
The event is part of the project „The City as Space for Development” funded out of grants from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2014-2021. The main targets of the project include, without limitation, the upgrading of the quality of life in the city through the improvement of the economic and social potential of the city, environment quality and city space, improvement of cohesion of actions and the growth of inhabitants’ trust to the public institutions, creating standards of modern public service provision and improvement of institutional capacities of the city administration.
The project will be performed until the 30th April, 2024.
The maximum total qualifiable costs covered by the project amount to
PLN 15 328 498,86.
Co-funding: EUR 3 371 346,00.
