The water playground in Steelwork Park and the salt graduation towers are in full swing!

While these investments are not entirely new facilities, it’s worth noting that since spring 2024, residents have been able to use the modern water playground in Steelwork Park, which operates seasonally and enjoy the interest. The salt graduation towers, however, are still operating in Kończyce and Maciejów districts, are available from 2023.

The water playground was opened after the revitalization of Steelwork Park. The facility
is open daily during the season from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. For children’s safety, the devices are not operated during the rain. The water is filtered, disinfected, and heated, ensuring comfort of play even in colder weather. Steelwork Park also offers three recreation areas (equipped with game tables such as chess, Chinese checkers, and football table), barbecue areas,
a skatepark, a dog run, an outdoor gym, and the restored „Neptune’s Spring.” There is also
a well-equipped playground.

Salt graduation towers operate in Zabrze, including the District Cultural Center in Kończyce and in Maciejów on Kondratowicza Street. These facilities operate during the spring and summer season. They are open to visitors and free of charge, offering natural inhalation – helpful for the respiratory system and thyroid.

The objects were created thanks to the funds obtained as a part of the „City as a Space
for Development” project, financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
