The cycle of training courses “The accessibility in public administration” is over

„The accessibility in public administration” is an exceptionally important task at the time of immensely developing technologies. This was the topic of the entire cycle of workshops dedicated to the personnel of the City Office of Zabrze and to the city local government units.

The major target of the activities was to improve the knowledge and practical skills of the participants in the aspect of accessibility of the office to persons with disabilities. Definition of disability, the most frequent issues related to it, digital, informative, communicative and architectural accessibility as well as services provided to persons with disabilities – formed a part of the topics discussed during the workshops. Digitalization was not omitted either as it opens new opportunities for persons with disabilities to participate in social life. The remote communication with the use of multimedia technologies may level the mobility barriers and bring people closer, whatever their location is.

The workshops have been made as part of the project “City as Space for Development” funded from the “Local Development” program, co-funded from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the State Budget.
