The „Design your park” openair photographic session coming up soon

„The City as Space for Development” project funded out of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2014-2021 will include revitalisation of Park Hutniczy [The Metallurgical Park] and the construction of brine graduation towers in Kończyce and Maciejów. The „Design your park” openair photographic session will take place next Saturday to evidence this transformation.

The meeting for amateur photographers will be hosted by Arkadiusz Gola, a recognised artist photographer, who regularly works as a press photographer for the Dziennik Zachodni newspaper. He has been documenting Silesia and its transformation for years. This time he is going to prompt the methods how to document the three key locations for the upcoming investment projects. The participants will meet at the Metallurgical Park on Saturday at 10 a.m. An hour later the openair event will move to the Orlik Sports Complex in Maciejów in Kondratowicza Street and at noon it will have the finale at the District Cultural Centre in Dorotki Street, Kończyce .

The undertaking was organised as part of the project entitled „The City as Space for Development” funded out of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years „ 2014-2021. The main targets of the project include, without limitation, the improvement of life quality in the city through upgrading the economic and social potential of the city, the environment quality and the quality of urban spaces, the improvement of cohesion of actions and growth of the inhabitants trust to the public institutions, creating standards of modern public services provision and improvement of the institutional capacities of the city administration.

The project will be performed until the 30th April, 2024.

The maximum total qualifiable costs covered by the project amount to: PLN 15 328 498,86.

Co-funding: EUR 3 371 346,00.
