\u201eThe accessibility of public institutions and sports facilities to people with disabilities\u201d \u2013 this is the title of the conference that began at 9.00 today in Arena, Zabrze, No. 81, Roosevelt Street. During the debates the participants could listen to experts who shared their knowledge on accessibility both in public and private life.<\/h3>\n

The conference was conducted by Krzysztof Kiepura. The introductory panel entitled \u201eThe accessibility of public institutions to people with disabilities\u201d was opened Prof. of Silesian University of Technology Aleksandra Kuzior, Ph.D.Hab. with presentation entitled \u201eThe inclusive model of sustainable social development based on the Project \u201cCity as space for development\u201d. Next, Prof. of Silesian University of Technology Beata Kucharczyk-Brus, Ph.D. Hab. Eng. Architect presented lecture entitled: \u201eThe Architectural Accessibility in the Project \u201cCity as Space for Development.\u201d\u201d<\/p>\n

Rafa\u0142 Kwapuli\u0144ski \u2013 specialist for people with disabilities from the Active Rehabilitation Fund FAR told about \u00a0\u201eThe Accessibility of Public Instituions\u201d \u2013 Active Rehabilitation Fund, while Krzysztof Wostal and Agnieszka Majnusz presented \u201eThe effective communication of people with disabilities\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the second part of today\u2019s conference the lecturers focused on discussing the issues related to accessibility of sports facilities to people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

Dr. Jakub Hawranek, Specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the Motor Organ from the City Hospital in Zabrze, in his presentation outlined the topic of \u201cMotor disability in medical aspect\u201d. Piotr Szymala, the President of the Provincial Association of Sport and Rehabilitation of the Disabled talked about \u201cThe Accessibility of Sports Facilities and Sports Disciplines\u201d. Micha\u0142 Wilk \u2013 physical education teacher at Primary School 40 in Zabrze \u2013 informed the conference participants the topic \u201eAccessibility of sports disciplines in Zabrze\u201d. Angelika Chrapkiewicz-G\u0105dek \u2013 motivation speaker, traveller and diver and Marcin Oleksy \u2013 special guest of the conference – Polish AMP football player, winner of the Goal of the Year 2022 in the FIFA ranking, also participated in the discussion.<\/p>\n

The conference on the accessibility of public institutions and sports facilities to people with disabilities was organized thanks to the funds obtained by Zabrze from Norwegian Financial Mechanism.<\/p>\n

The finale of the conference on accessibility will be a sports event on Arena Zabrze stadium ground, where in the spirit of fair play sports rivalry children with disabilities from Silesian Special Schools will play.<\/p>\n

The dual football tournament will take place on 24th<\/sup> May at 9.00. In addition to the football games, numerous attractions, contests and games with prizes, the children will be able to meet Marcin Oleksy \u2013 a Polish AMP football player and winner of the Goal of the Year Prize 2200 in memory of Ferenc Puskas in the prestigious FIFA ranking the Best 2022.<\/p>\n
