The final gala took place on the 23rd February in Tarn\u00f3w, which included announcement of the competition results \u201cThe Local Government Management Leader\u201d. Zabrze was among the finalists with the project: \u201cSocial revitalization with particular consideration to the identity of the location, based on the dialogue of the city authority representatives with the local community for the development of availability and quality of services provided at the Social Services Center in Zabrze\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u201eLocal Government Management Leader\u201d competition has been organized by the Union of Polish Cities for 15 years. This exceptional, cyclic event to award the best management practices of the local governments in Poland.<\/p>\n

The leading topic in 2022 was \u201eCommunication \u2013 participation \u2013 co-management\u201d. Its purpose was to identify, appreciate and award the cities that, following the idea of \u201copen governance\u201d, efficiently communicate with the stakeholders and effectively engage the population in the local community life, that ,influence the local development and improve the public services and life quality in the city. This time 39 applications were submitted to the competition by 31 cities: 18 applications from cities and urban-rural municipalities, 8 \u2013 from cities holding district rights and 13\u00a0 – from cities being the seats of provincial governments.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
