We invite you to enroll your children for popular science activities organized as part of the Children and Youth Academy \u201cLike at university studies\u201d. The undertaking is organized in partnership with the University of Technology in Katowice as part of \u201cThe City as Space for Development\u201d project and is subsidized from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the years 2014-2021.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Norwegian funds gained by the City of Zabrze enable the development of key skills and the young people will become convinced of their opportunities to study and learn without the necessity for leaving the city.<\/p>\n

The Children and Youth Academy \u201eLike at University studies\u201d is directed to children and youth of the age between 7 and 17 residing in Zabrze.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main target of the planned activities is to satisfy the cognitive curiosity, scientific interests and development of children\u2019s and youth\u2019s passions and talents as well as encouraging them to explore the world and various fields of science.<\/p>\n

During the activities the students will be introduced in the world of science and arts, in an attractive form and without the scholar compulsion, they will be taught creativity, logical thinking, they will also have equal opportunities to improve their language competence.<\/p>\n

The activities take place at Zbigniew Religa Memorial Faculty of Medical Sciences and are conducted by didactic teachers, experts and specialist at various fields. The children and youth attend activities conducted in academic auditoriums, workrooms and labs, so that they may feel as if they were real university students.<\/p>\n

The activities will be carried out in three age groups:<\/p>\n

Group S\u00a0(age: 7\u201310)<\/strong>\u00a0Group 1 and Group 2 \u2013 Technical skills workshops (robotic \u2013 IT workshops); Group 2 and Group 2 \u2013 Humanities workshops (artistic workshops, English workshops).<\/p>\n

Group M (age 11\u201314)<\/strong>\u00a0Group 1 and Group 2 \u2013 Technical skills workshops (robotic \u2013 IT workshops); Group 2 and Group 2 \u2013 Humanities workshops (artistic workshops, English workshops).<\/p>\n

Group L<\/strong>\u00a0(age 15-17) Group 1 \u2013 Science skills workshop (mathematical workshops, biological and chemical workshops); Group 2 \u2013 Humanity skills workshop (artistic workshops, English workshops, Polish workshops).<\/p>\n

During the winter vacation the attendees of the project will also participate in a free-of-charge winter camp for the attendees of our Children and Youth Academy.<\/p>\n

The recruitment will last from \u00a021.11. and 25.11.2022\u00a0until 15:00<\/strong><\/p>\n
