The conference will enable us to review progress on our comprehensive accessibility efforts and take further steps to further improve accessibility across all aspects of citizens&#8217; lives.<\/p>\n<p>During the conference we will comprehensively discuss accessibility in Poland in public and sports institutions. We have invited experts in the field of accessibility, as well as people with special needs, who will share with us their experience in terms of accessibility in public and private life. The culmination of the conference on accessibility will be a sports event on the pitch of the Arena Zabrze stadium, where children with disabilities from special schools in Zabrze will play football in the spirit of fair play. During the event the needs of people with disabilities are taken into account, information on the evacuation of people with disabilities is provided in the evacuation plan available on the event website and at the information point located right after entering the Arena building, where there is also a registration point for conference participants. Directions for various means of transport have been provided and access to the Conference Room from bus stops and from the above-ground and underground car park has been marked. Access to the Conference Room for wheelchair users has been marked. Information about pedestrian crossings, stairs and an elevator, as well as the main entrance to the building, toilets have been marked. During the conference assistants trained in the principles of communication and proper behaviour towards people with disabilities will be available \u2013 their tasks include picking up from the bus stop, bringing guests to the event venue, assistance during the coffee break \/ lunch. A conference coordinator is appointed for contact and alternative forms of contact with the event coordinator are provided (phone call, SMS, e-mail). During the conference appropriate technical solutions will be provided to facilitate the speakers&#8217; transfer of information to the recipients, i.e.: Polish Sign Language interpreters, induction loop, subtitles, simple and transparent multimedia presentations, the conference moderator playing also the role of a lector.
